Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Business Development to join our team. As the Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of our company through strategic planning and execution of business development initiatives. This is a leadership role that requires strong analytical skills, sales expertise, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Duties:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve company goals and objectives
- Identify new market opportunities and potential clients through market research and analysis
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and industry influencers
- Lead the sales team in developing effective sales strategies and techniques
- Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of business development initiatives
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities
- Prepare and present reports on business development activities, progress, and results to senior management
Experience:
- Proven experience in managing business development activities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong background in account management, sales, or business development.
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience to major retailers.
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective strategies based on data-driven insights
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth through new client acquisition
- Experience in outside sales or technology sales is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM software is preferred
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
