Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Credit Union Teller to join team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of financial transactions and member services in a professional and courteous manner. As a Teller, you will handle member inquiries, process transactions, and ensure the accuracy and security of all transactions. Your goal is to provide excellent service to our members while maintaining the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Member Transactions:
- Process member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and transfers.
- Issue money orders, cashier’s checks, and other negotiable instruments.
- Customer Service:
- Greet and assist members with their financial needs in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer member inquiries and provide information on credit union products and services.
- Cash Handling:
- Accurately count, verify, and handle cash and checks.
- Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift, ensuring discrepancies are reported and resolved.
- Account Maintenance:
- Assist members with closing accounts.
- Update member account information as needed.
- Compliance and Security:
- Adhere to all credit union policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Ensure the security of member information and transaction confidentiality.
- Additional Duties:
- Promote credit union products and services to meet members’ financial needs.
- Participate in training sessions and stay updated on new products, services, and policies.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in cash handling, customer service, or banking is preferred.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with banking software.
- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Notary Public) are a plus.
