MP Hospitality is looking for a General Manager for our Holiday Inn Express & Suites located in Roselle.
This Hotel is 101 Rooms and will be going under a full renovation beginning at the end of this year. We are looking for a GM that can manage not only the day to day but assist in the full renovation of all guest rooms and public areas
JOB DUTIES:
- Effectively communicate to both ownership and management company
- Monthly forecasting of operating staff and cost expenditures
- Daily monitoring of all labor
- Business planning in line with forecasted sales and costs including guidance to department heads and budgetary responsibilities
- Monthly P&L responsibilities in regards to cost and expenses
- Provide solid employee relations for the entire hotel and ensure associates are compliant with brand training
- Involvement in sales & revenue management to help with strategy, identifying need periods and supporting team to accomplish top line goals
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, back of house, banquet function set-ups
- Through leadership and mentoring, establish a friendly, courteous, service-oriented approach to guests that is exhibited by all hotel employees
- Establish and implement guest service standards for all departments. Periodically reviewing, identifying problems and taking corrective actions
- Assure the hotel has an ongoing preventive maintenance program and the property is kept in good working condition
- Effectively communicate with multiple vendors to ensure purchasing timelines and costs are adhered to
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years experience as a GM in a Limited Service Hotel
- Previous experience in both Sales and Operations
- Previous experience with Project Management a plus
- Ability to lead the revenue management and sales direction
- Experience working within a Branded Hotel Environment - IHG, Marriott, or Hilton (REQUIRED) IHG Preferred
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate team building experience and ability to lead by example
- Ability to instill a guest service attitude in all employees
- Experience in training and developing employees
