About Us: Our practice in Garland is a leading dental practice committed to delivering top-quality dental care in a welcoming and patient-centered environment. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant to join our dedicated team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists during dental procedures by preparing and passing instruments, suctioning, and other chairside duties.
- Prepare patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns.
- Take and develop dental X-rays.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Provide post-operative instructions and education to patients.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing supplies, and handling patient inquiries.
- Other duties as assigned by the dentist or office manager.
Qualifications:
- MUST HAVE ACTIVE REGISTERED LICENSE IN THE STATE OF TEXAS.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assisting program preferred.
- X-ray certification required.
- Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures.
- Familiarity with coding and documentation practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Open Dental and Eaglesoft systems preferred.
- Previous experience in dental reception or pediatric dentistry is advantageous.
