JOB DESCRIPTION
The Field Service Technician is charged with installing and conducting monthly checks of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in the Austin and San Antonio markets, with possible daytrips to other parts of the state. The Field Service Technician also replenishes some First Aid Centers and provides other related services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Install AEDs, First Aid Centers, and related items
- Prepare AEDs for installation
- Help customer select optimal AED location
- Use drill, driver, and other tools to attach AED cabinets to walls and other structures (sheetrock, metal, wood, concrete)
- Onboard AEDs using flows in handheld
- Attach bar-codes and stickers to equipment per SOP
- Explain AED program to customer during installation, including providing customer with instructions on how to use the AED
2) Conduct monthly service of AEDs and other assets
- Check devices, following flow in handheld
- Replace batteries/pads, as directed
- Address issues that arise
3) Replenish First Aid Centers
- Replace expired and/or consumed products from First Aid Centers per planogram
- Log all product replacement using flows in handheld
4) Maintain service van, and safely drive van to customer locations in Austin and San Antonio
5) Communicate with corporate office
- Reach out with questions as they arise
- Be AED123’s eyes and ears in the field, sharing information about deployments and opportunities for improvements
6) Augment a growing team
- Reinforce our results-oriented, collaborative, productive, and fun culture
- Be accountable and supportive
7) Execute other tasks as required (we are a startup and often need all hands on-deck)
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Engaging personality to facilitate customer satisfaction
- True excitement about our business – and interest in learning more about AEDs
- Ability to follow set processes with reliability and strong attention to detail
- Experience with power tools, and ability to complete high quality installations
- Track record of safe driving (position requires significant driving)
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Good judgement
- Background in field service and delivery route work is a plus
