We are currently hiring Electrical Area Supervisors with commercial/industrial electrical construction project experience. Work will consist of installation, alterations, additions, and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment as well as supervision of employees and meeting scheduling requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Assists the Superintendent in planning work and schedules.
- Assists with providing on-site direction and leadership to electricians.
- Initiates and monitors safety program.
- Provides on-site direction, mentoring, training, and evaluation of crew.
- Prepares detailed drawings as required.
- Coordinates with project teams to ensure the project is on track.
- Supervises and performs electrical duties.
- Inspects crews’ installations for quality, making sure code and safety standards are met.
- Ensures that requested material is expedited and received as needed.
- Provides periodic maintenance and proper storage of tools and equipment.
- Creates and communicates progress reports daily.
- Tracks and maintains production goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 6+ years of experience in the electrical trade leading large commercial/industrial jobs
- Experience running crews of 10+ electricians
- Reliable transportation
- Must be passionate about job-site safety
- Active Texas Journeyman License required
- Basic computer skills, proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Bluebeam and Outlook
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Exposure to Accubid or other Estimating software is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills required
- Willing to travel is preferred
