Hotel Sorrento is seeking a Front Office reception supervisor with a passion for excellence and great enthusiasm in providing exceptional service standards.
Perched on the hill, this historic hotel is ideally situated amidst world-class medical institutions, premier shopping and the central business district. Seattle’s longest operating hotel features stunning views within 76 classically and uniquely appointed rooms and suites, making it a destination for discerning Guests.
This role will be specifically supporting the Guest Services team, and the day-to-day operations. Supports all Guest related experiences. Committed and dedicated to excellence, exhibiting a highly engaged style to motivate and promote the highest standards possible.
The associate we seek will be a passionate self-starter problem solver guest pleaser with excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. A demonstrated ability to contribute to a multicultural team is essential, as is solid business acumen and a passion for service. Strong training and supervisory skills are preferred as well as desire to pursuit hospitality career.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities to include the following:
- Represent Hotel and its long-standing contribution to Seattle first hill community.
- Help onboard, guide and train Associates
- Welcome engaging gregarious personality suited for hospitality guest service
- Engage directly in the Guest experience using interpersonal skills and technology
- Ability to work with cloud based STAYNTOUCH front office PMS property maintenance computer system
- Perform other tasks related to planning, organizing and directing department activities
- Make recommendations on departmental needs for supplies and equipment
- Demonstrate professionalism and dependability, and is a role model for all Associates
- First point of contact for any escalated service recovery situations
- Knowledgeable about the hotel and its outlets, as well as the surrounding area and facilitate the spread of that knowledge to guests and Associates.
- Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit, check cashing and cash handling
- Support, maintain and participate in other duties as determined necessary
- Focus on working in a safe manner and create a safe working environment always.

Position Requirements
Applicants are required to possess a minimum of three years’ experience in a supervisory role in Guest Experience and/or Hotel environment. A college degree or diploma preferably specializing in Hotel management or equivalent experience is recommended.
Job Type: Full-time and or part time, afternoons preferred.
