Performs general business management to develop and apply expertise under general supervision of a mentoring member or owner. Manages and provides quality and timely service to the customer through the recruitment, hiring, training and supervision of lawn/tree and shrub care specialists and other selective personnel. Provides effective coaching and development of staff so that they may positively impact customer retention through exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities:
- Assumes leadership of a management and technician team. Promotes positive employee relations including fostering high staff morale and upholds company operating standards.
- Hires, trains, coaches and develops lawn specialists and trainees
- Manages, prepares and monitors work schedules, invoicing, day to day logistics, route optimization, sale assignments and invoicing duties to service personnel for efficiency.
- Plans and conducts on-going training for technician/sales personnel in product/program knowledge, customer service skills, selling technique and safety policies and procedures.
- Meet performance requirements while working in both field service and sales representative capacities.
- Evaluates quality of service provided to customers and develops procedures to minimize customer complaints and cancellations. Works to resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service. Analyzes and distributes cancellation requests in an attempt to retain customers.
- Evaluates performance, makes compensation recommendations and administers disciplinary actions consistent with company policy or industry standards
- Examines technician/associate work for accuracy, neatness and conformance to best practices as well as company policies and procedures.
- Determines work procedures issuing oral and written instructions.
- Expedites workflow by coordinating the sharing of information between customer and field technician.
- Assists in the reviews of financial reports to develop action plans to grow revenue and control expenses in order to meet or exceed annual budgets/goals.
- Contributes to the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies to attain revenue goals.
- Develops detailed competencies/understanding of all operational job roles, processes, and basic sales, administrative and service functions. Acquires a working knowledge of office functions to monitor and maintain standards and efficiencies in telephone service, software, administrative support, and accounts receivable.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable occupational, health, and safety regulations and laws. Fosters an environment where safety comes first and all staff strictly adheres to company operating standards.
- Ensures current personnel licensing is maintained by all associates as required by company policy/state and/or federal law.
- Contributes to the development and execution of plans for the efficient use of staffing, materials, and equipment to provide quality service to customers.
- Reviews and monitors production costs and product quality; identifies deficiencies and implements improvements to production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operations.
- Assists with the recruitment, interviewing and selection of selective staff to efficiently and effectively operate the business in sales, marketing, administrative and service to new and existing customers. Provides coaching and feedback to owner/manager to manage and evaluate staff performance in adherence to company policies, processes and guidelines.
- Ensures diplomacy concerning customer service-related concerns.
