Our pediatric specialty clinic, Parker Place, is seeking two part-time front office assistants to help our practice thrive! This is a great opportunity to build your experience in a medical office setting, in a position that can grow with you. Depending on your goals and availability, the possibility exists to increase your hours and responsibilities as you become comfortable within the role.
The individuals selected for this role will work approximately 20 hours per week to start, with both morning and afternoon shifts available. No weekends are required. This schedule could be ideal for someone supplementing another part-time job or school program, or who is new to (or returning to) the workforce.
Healthcare experience is not required! While we welcome those who have worked in healthcare before, we are happy to consider candidates with all kinds of work backgrounds: retail, hospitality, salons, other types of offices...the list goes on! Our priority is finding people with the personality, values and work ethic to become a vital part of our administrative team. When we find them, we’ll provide all the training needed to help them succeed in an position that aligns with their strengths and their career goals.

As an office assistant at Parker Place, you’ll contribute to our practice in multiple ways. For example, a typical week might include any combination of the following:
- Warmly greeting patients and visitors as they arrive
- Checking patients in and out for scheduled appointments
- Communicating with patients’ families via phone, text and email
- Helping to maintain our extensive library of wellness resources
- Scanning and processing paper documents
- Ensuring our waiting room always looks great
- Creating fun informational displays throughout our office
- Distributing mail and packages
- Assisting with marketing and special projects
- …and more!
Like any job, this position does come with a few requirements and qualifications:
- Weekday availability (mornings and/or afternoons for at least 4-5 hours per shift)
- Reliable transportation and the ability to commute to Annapolis
- Willingness to acquire our standard work attire of black medical scrubs
