Position: Laboratory Technician – Oemeta, Inc. – Metalworking Fluids
Responsible to: Technical Director
Education: Associates Chemistry Degree or higher
Oemeta, Inc. operates on a fixed schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with 30 minutes for lunch. We have 12 paid holidays and, once you are past your probationary period, you will also be entitled to paid vacation and paid sick leave. Ideally, the candidate will have some laboratory experience with the preparation and testing of water- and oil-based samples as well as the operation and maintenance of lab equipment. However, training will be provided for a candidate expected to be a good fit within the team.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. Skills and proficiency using Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint are expected.
Following safe lab protocols and maintaining a clean and organized workspace is required.
Good candidates will display the ability to work as part of a small team and independently and will demonstrate both responsibility and initiative.

Duties:
Responsible for the testing and reporting of Customer Service and Technical Service samples.
All testing to be carried out to recognized test methods, as supported by Oemeta.
Accurate and complete data/results should be recorded and maintained in appropriate
formats (written and electronic data updated regularly).
Responsible for the testing and reporting of Quality Control Samples
All testing to be carried out to recognized test methods, as supported by Oemeta.
Sample testing to follow ISO 9001 practices as supported by Oemeta.
Accurate and complete data/results should be recorded and maintained in appropriate formats (written and electronic data updated regularly).
Responsible for the preparation and testing of Development samples as defined by the Technical Director.
All testing to be carried out to recognized test methods, as supported by Oemeta.
Samples to be prepared in accordance with laboratory standards and, practice as supported by Oemeta.
Accurate and complete data/results should be recorded and maintained in appropriate format.
Maintain the highest possible standard of good laboratory practices.
Ensure all test equipment is clean and well maintained.
All Calibration records and reagents comply with the ISO 9001 standard and procedures.
All work is carried out to Oemeta’s working standards and practices.
Maintain a clean and well-organized laboratory.
