Responsibilities:
The School of Architecture and Design at New York Institute of Technology invites outstanding candidates for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Architecture. This position will be based in our Long Island campus, with travel to our NYC campus as needed. The candidate will teach 21 ELH, maintain weekly office hours, provide academic advising as assigned by the Chair, and participate in all departmental/school activities that advance the goals of the department/school.
Qualifications:
A first professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch or its equivalent) plus a record of accomplishments.
Expertise in Architectural Design, computational technologies, digital fabrication, and building technologies. A record of a research agenda with teaching experience, including design studio and courses/seminars in the position fields is preferred.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.
