The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. A Project Manager is the principal project administrator and communications link between ICS and:
- The Client
- Sub-contractors,
- Local, State, and Federal Regulatory agencies,
- Public Authorities
Duties/Responsibilities:
The Project Manager shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Administer estimator-to-project manager handoff meeting in accordance with ICS’ Standard Operating Procedures and Project Management Workflow Process, review project scope, budget, and best practices and tools for project execution and management. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. Lead project-specific team toward successful project completion.
- Primary point of contact for all incoming and outgoing project information. Ensure proper distribution and central filing of project information to all team members and sub-consultants.
- Project-specific cost tracking to administer the construction budget and client notification of changes in project scope, including change order estimate preparation for out-of-scope work elements and written change order requests.
- Review and approve all subcontractor monthly requisitions for payment, including requisitions for final payment.
- Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, able to influence and empower a team to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Manage Superintendents and Foreman to ensure the Field Team knows their roles and responsibilities and holds them accountable for ownership of their work.
- Foster, build and develop business relationships vital to the success of the project.
- Conduct project postmortems with recommendation reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- All other duties as assigned by Management.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Understanding of construction means and methods, associated crew, equipment, and production rates.
- Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

- Skilled in managing potential conflicts within field project teams.
- Ability to bring projects to successful completion under sometimes challenging conditions through proficient team management.

- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to hold Superintendents and Foremen accountable for their management of their Field Teams.
- Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
- Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
- Skilled in prioritizing and executing tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Familiarity with project management and estimating software (e.g., Viewpoint Vista, B2W, Heavy Job/Bid) is beneficial, but not required. Training will be provided.
- Knowledge of costing and earned revenue concepts, such as the Cost-to-Cost method of Earned Revenue Recognition for long-term construction contracts, % Complete, and AIA Progress Billings, is beneficial but not obligatory. Training will be provided.
- Technically competent with various software programs, such as Excel, word, and MPP.
Education/Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field desirable.
- Minimum ten (10) years of direct work experience in a project management capacity.
- Experience in environmental remediation projects desirable.
- 40-Hr HAZWOPER or 8-Hr HAZWOPER Refresher is desirable, or training will be provided.
- Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit for long periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Regularly work around moving mechanical parts and equipment in outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times.
- Must be able to recognize safety signs and signals both visually and audibly and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Regularly ascends/descends a ladder and/or stairs.
- Must be able to operate hand and power tools.
- Frequently moves equipment, supplies, and/or tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly required to position self, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs.
- Requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
