Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of our powersports dealership. The General Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the dealership, including sales, inventory control, customer service, and organizational efficiency. This is a leadership role that requires strong negotiation skills, sales expertise, and the ability to drive results.
Duties:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve dealership goals
- Manage all dealership Department Managers and provide guidance and support to ensure targets are met
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to drive sales and customer satisfaction
- Oversee inventory control to ensure optimal stock levels and efficient operations
- Monitor sales pipeline and track performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations
- Participate in scheduled management meetings/financial review meetings with CEO, Directors and other General Managers
- Coordinate with Marketing team for events/advertising efforts
- Ensure compliance with OEM programs
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer issues or concerns
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency
- Proactively recruit and train employees to ensure proper staffing levels
Experience:
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a dealership or similar industry
- Strong background in sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to close deals effectively
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in math for financial analysis and inventory control
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
