25% - Provides information and assistance to students regarding admissions procedures and processes, performs clerical and administrative office assistance related to program and student records requests such as transcripts, registration, schedules, grade point average, applications, enrollment and/or other program information. Performs basic calculations and verifies accuracy and thorough completion of documents. Verifies program eligibility based on set requirements, retrieves information and enters or updates information in reports, logs or other documentation or record keeping and monitors and maintains schedules and course information.
25% - Provides academic and career advisement support for new, continuing, and prospective students. Academic advisement includes providing information on program and degree requirements, including university transfer information. Also provides information on MCCCD policies and procedures and reviews prior college credits. Updates student records as needed.
25% - Provides routine fiscal transaction work in a variety of support areas including maintaining records, processing transactions, and data entry for assigned area. Monitors and reconciles accounts payable, receivable and procurement documents and processes journal entries, travel claims, and updates fiscal records.
15% - Reviews student files verifying application for accuracy and completeness; requests additional information in compliance with federal and state laws; reviews various exception reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis; processes FA documents. Assists students with completing the financial aid applications, reviews and tracks financial aid documents, counsels students and parents on the financial aid and scholarship processes. Assists in analyzing regulations for financial aid programs and responds to inquiries from internal and external customers. Assists students with the appeal process, conduct FA presentations to student groups regarding financial aid/scholarship resources and policies and provide general clerical assistance. May assist in training of students, staff, and temporaries.
10% - Participates in special projects and presentations for academic advisement, admission, records, & registration, cashiers, and education and career fairs. Participates in departmental meetings and training sessions. Performs other related duties as assigned.
