Peak Performance Physical Therapy is looking for a Full-Time Temporary Rock Star Physical Therapy Assistant for Maternity leave coverage Mid-February thru late May or early June.

Early work would entail shadowing current PTA and doing company sponsored CEU with Gray Institute CAFS program if not already completed or having done full fellowship training. Our intention is to fast-track you into our world of using Applied Functional Science concepts as the foundation for our care.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ability to follow a written plan of care
· Provide and supervise physical therapy treatments to patients
· Excellent attention to detail regarding exercise technique, programs and manual therapy
· Complete daily encounter notes accurately and in a timely fashion with billing codes/units
· Communicate and meet regularly with PT’s, show good judgement in determining when consultation with your PT teammates is necessary
· Implement new knowledge and skill into patient care on a gradual basis for the benefit of your patient
· Help to foster a professional environment that is friendly, welcoming, and encouraging to everyone
· Display a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure each patient’s satisfaction and reaching their goals
· Assist with clinic up keep, laundry, etc
· Participation in team meetings
Qualifications:
· Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program
· Current license or eligible for license under statutes in New York State
· 3 years of Ortho/Sport Outpatient PTA experience
· Strong Manual Therapy skills preferred or willingness to learn
· Gift Fellowship Training from the Gray Institute preferred – will provide Certification (CAFS) training if necessary
· Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
· Experience with EMR system
· Ability to understand and follow the directions of the Physical Therapist and the policies and procedures of the facility
· Compassionate, energetic, positive, friendly and enthusiastic
· Demonstrate good attention to detail and time management skills
· Work well with others in a team setting
· Be flexible with hours
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
