Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Echocardiographer to join our healthcare facility located in Canton, GA. As an Echocardiographer, you will be primarily responsible for operating specialized imaging equipment to examine and assess the heart's structure and function. Your expertise will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating a wide range of cardiovascular conditions and support our committed medical team in providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiographic examinations using state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment, ensuring accurate and detailed images of the heart.
- Conduct preliminary assessments and gather pertinent patient information to create a comprehensive examination plan.
- Explain the echocardiography procedure to patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Apply the appropriate imaging techniques and protocols, positioning patients correctly for optimal image capture.
- Assess echo data, identify abnormalities, and collaborate with cardiologists and other medical personnel to formulate accurate diagnoses.
- Interpret echo images and provide detailed reports of findings to aid in the development of appropriate treatment plans.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure accurate image quality and functionality.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control measures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Keep abreast of current research and developments in echocardiography techniques, attending relevant conferences and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Certified Echocardiographer with a valid license and registration from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiac Sonography, or a related field.
- Prior experience as an Echocardiographer in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and cardiovascular pathology.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining echocardiography equipment and software.
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret echo images accurately.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain procedures and findings to both patients and medical professionals.
- Detail-oriented with meticulous documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment.

- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and accommodate emergency cases as needed.
