Server Position Purpose:
Provide quality customer service to our dining guests as the primary interaction point between customers and the dining experience. Present the menu, take orders, prepare and serve beverages for guests in a quick, efficient, friendly and professional manner. Ensure that guests are served in accordance to State and Local guidelines regarding the service of alcohol. Success in this role will be demonstrated by facilitating an excellent dining experience, translating to positive feedback and business growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

Provide friendly, courteous and efficient service to all guests by making eye contact, smiling and
maintaining proper posture.

Take orders as well as maintain an extensive
knowledge of the food menu in order to assist guests with any inquiries or suggestions.
Listen and respond to inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice.

Anticipate and service the guest's needs before requests are made.

Able to ascertain a guest's satisfaction and handle any problems which may arise and informing
a Manager of the problem and how it was resolved.
Assist with open and closing procedures as directed.

Follow proper time and attendance and uniform procedures.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Able to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely.

Knowledge of the menu and beverage list and the ability to communicate clear suggestions to
the guests.

Knowledge of the city, particularly tourist attractions and the ability to communicate clear
directions to these attractions and facilities.

Auditory and visual abilities to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:
Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderated and controlled by facility
environmental systems.
Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for an extended period of time.

Able to lift up to 25lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.

Able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, twist, walk, crouch, squat and stretch to fulfill
tasks.

Manual dexterity required to use and operate all necessary equipment.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Education: High school or equivalent education preferred.
Experience Required: Minimum one year Waiting experience required.
Grooming: All Employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $3.75 an hour plus tips
