Job Description
Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, the Program Manager will provide direct care and supervision to individuals served by the Daisy Adams Center (DAC). He/She will provide psycho-education groups, complete required documentation, attend trainings, and participate in team meetings. He/she will be responsible for supervising BHTs in the supervision of all individuals during program hours.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily program activities under the direction of the Clinical Director
- Supervise DAC employees under the direction of the Clinical Director
- Assist Clinical director with writing treatment plans and treatment plan reviews
- Fill in for group counselors when they call out sick or go on vacation in the event Marisol is unable to do so
- Develop avenues to get better participation from individuals who often choose not to participate (for whatever reason) in PSR activities.
- Assists in facility maintenance by keeping work areas clean and reporting damage to the maintenance staff
- Plan and implement creative programming for the DAC
- Provide coordination and planning for special events at the program
- Provide oversight of groups and staff to ensure groups meet requirements
- Ensure the program is consistently stocked with needed supplies and materials
- Assists the Behavior Department in utilizing individualized behavior programs by learning the programs for the individuals at the Daisy Adams Center (DAC).
- Attends weekly inservice trainings and treatment team meetings as well as other trainings as assigned
- Ability to physically intervene with state-mandated (TEAM) restraint procedures. Will be working with various levels of aggressive individuals ranging from mild to intensive
- Participates in treatment team planning, ensuring all areas noted in the Community Behavioral Health Services Handbook are met
Position Qualifications:
- Certified Behavioral Health Technician as defined by the Florida Certification Board or eligible to sit for the exam, or Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related human service field
- Previous experience working with individuals diagnosed with Mental Health Disorders and/or Developmental Disabilities as defined by the DSM V preferred
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds
- Valid Florida Driver’s License, 3-year Driving Record verification, with driving ability sufficient to drive a 12-passenger van
- Ability to pass both a local and level 2 background checks
