Job Description
JENNMAR Services is assisting Arch Resources to find the right person to join their team in Somerset Colorado. This posting is for one open position. The position ensures the ongoing, effective, and efficient operations for Arch’s computer, networking, security, and operational environments at the Somerset, CO location. Areas of responsibility include ongoing coordinating efforts of team members with third party contractors and/or consultants in order to deliver projects, as required by operations and the organization. Key focus is working with mine management, local staff, Corporate IT staff, and third parties for product installations and upgrades, focusing on enhancements to promote user efficiency, safety, and productivity.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Provide tier 1 and 2 support utilizing the Arch Service Desk management tool to proactively manage the technical environment and maintain a customer focus
- Responsible for personal computer installations, identifying, diagnosing and resolution of problems
- Installation and termination of network cabling and fiber optic wiring
- Physical installation of switches, routers, and servers in assisting upgrades and projects.
- Support Active Directory, Windows File Shares, and other core services
- Provide project leadership on the various operational technology related efforts throughout the year which encompass other IT team members, third-party vendors and other Arch employees
- Maintain and promote standardization & documentation as a key component of quality service/support
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders
- Supporting technology initiatives for the West Virginia region including infrastructure upgrades/replacements and mining systems in support with corporate standards and guidelines
Required Qualifications:
2 years of experience and working knowledge of various operational technologies
- 2 years of experience with various Microsoft operating systems
- 2 years of experience with system administration, configuration and installation.
- Ability to conduct research into issues and products as required
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; good interpersonal skills
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
- Thorough analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to crawl, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs; requires manual dexterity
- Able to work outside of normal work hours to address emergencies and perform scheduled off hour activities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Computer Science, math, engineering, business or equivalent experience
- Project management experience with demonstrated successful project completion
- Familiarity with MSHA/OSHA laws and requirements
- Knowledge of Rockwell, Komatsu, Joy, Honeywell, Stratix, Hirschmann
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Wireshark, and other advanced troubleshooting tools
- Experience with underground and surface networks in a mining environment

- $61,200 - $91,800 annually DOE
- Monday - Friday
- 8am - 5pm
