This is a Supportive (Assisted) Living Community.
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care to residents under the supervision of a nurse
- Assist with basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, medication and meal reminders
- Document resident information and maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as CareMerge
- Monitor residents' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Provide emotional support to residents' and their families
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of an accredited nursing assistant program
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Experience working in a senior/supportive living setting is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions with residents
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
