Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pre-school teachers or Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. This role plays a crucial part in implementing behavior intervention plans and helping clients acquire essential life skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) under the guidance of a BCBA to determine the root causes of challenging behaviors.
- Implementing individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and ABA programs based on client-specific goals and objectives.
- Providing one-on-one ABA therapy sessions to clients in various settings, including homes, schools, and clinical environments.
- Collecting and recording data on client progress during therapy sessions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
- Assisting in the development and modification of ABA programs as needed to address client's changing needs and progress.
- Collaborating closely with the BCBA and other members of the treatment team to maintain open communication and ensure consistent implementation of therapy plans.
- Conducting parent/caregiver training sessions to teach and reinforce ABA techniques, allowing for generalization of skills in the client's natural environment.
- Providing a supportive and nurturing environment for clients to promote skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
- Adhering to ethical standards and professional conduct in accordance with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) guidelines.
- Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing training to stay up-to-date with the latest ABA research and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). - We will sponsor this certificate for the right candidate
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Someone with patience for humanity
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and the treatment team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.
