POSITION SUMMARY: The Inspector performs routine inspections for new properties onboarded, vacancies, quality control, semi-annual property inspections, SCEP, Section-8, and other inspections as needed. Assist in the preparation of estimates.
PAY: Starting at $25.00-$28.00 per hour depending on experience, plus commission.
REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Maintenance & Construction Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions may be required as deemed necessary by Management.
ADMINISTRATIVE
- Regularly communicate with tenants and co-workers via text, phone, email, answering questions and providing status updates
- Use of Property Meld AppFolio, QuickBooks, QB Time, and iScout/KPA, Dropbox
- Regularly update the Inspection Calendar and AppFolio
- Create detailed Inspection reports and Melds
- Assist in the creating of estimates for completed inspection reports
FIELD WORK
- Inspect a minimum of 50 units a week / 200 a month
- Post 24-hour notices and provide access to Housing inspectors
SKILLS:
- Proficiency in construction inspection and quality control procedures.
- Strong understanding of construction management practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with tenant, city agencies, clients, and team members.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in inspecting construction sites.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to property inspections.
