Assists the Director of Career Services with achieving placement results in each program or program areas which are consistent with applicable regulatory agency standards and campus expectations.
Holds direct responsibility for an assigned program or a program portfolio in addition to other duties.
Oversees and supports the day-to-day operations of the Career Services Department and/or of the assigned functional areas of the department.
Actively promotes the company's mission, vision and values statements and ensures employees incorporate these beliefs and values into their daily work ethic.
Assists the Director of Career Services with implementation of the campus strategy for Career Services.
Assists with the execution of IEC and campus specific strategic plans in Career Services.
Monitors and improves the campus Career Services relevant metrics.
Partners with compliance in regards to placement verification and documentation processes and policies.
Assumes the management role for the department as needed.
Represents the campus Career Services department at IEC and Regional operational functions such as conferences, accountability meetings, regional conferences, and other functions.
Manages and oversees the Career Services externship and extern to hire functions of all relevant programs as assigned
Oversees student professional development functions such as workshops, job clubs, alumni functions, and other functions.
Assists the Director of Career Services with accountability meetings with Career Services staff and standard meetings and communication structures with other members of the campus and IEC community.
Assists the Director of Career Services with the Advisory Board Meetings.
Maintains a positive and active relationship with employers in the community; assists with on-campus recruiting and other business and community-development events.
Promotes and oversees alumni relations.
Assists the Director of Career Services in recruiting potential Career Services colleagues, along with interviewing and screening candidates for hire
Assists with training, coaching, and mentoring other Career Services peers and new Career Services Specialists.
Participates and assumes team leadership role in special projects and initiatives
Performs other duties as assigned.
Some college preferred.
Minimum 1 year of career services experience.
2 years management experience preferred
Successful track record of placement activities preferably in educational career services environment.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills.
Effective problem resolution skills.
Ability to work effectively building and maintaining a team.
Good general business knowledge and ability to effectively supervise and lead a team of professionals.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive in the United States.
