Busy medical practice in the Indianapolis area is currently seeking an experienced PRACTICE Manager with some Billing and Financial Management experience to join our practice. An experienced medical administrator is sought that has experience with management of the financial aspects and revenue cycle of a medical practice. Should be organized, detail- oriented, motivated and a self- starter. Must be comfortable with common software platforms such as Word/ Excel/ Quickbooks/ Quicken. Should have knowledge of insurance carriers and be able to create provider contracts and troubleshoot the A/R and claims process. Should be able to reconcile bank accounts and keep up with payables. Familiarity with the coding, billing and collections process is a must as oversight in these areas will be necessary. For this position the salary is competitive and commensurate based on experience. Signing bonus may be considered for those having to consider a relocation.
This is, for the most part, a Monday to Friday Position
Required Skills:
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar position preferably within the medical field
- Experience with patient scheduling
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, Quickbooks ( or similar)
- Experience with management or supervisory experience required
- Problem solving skills
- Knowledgeable in the HIPPA and OSHA guidelines
- Experience with medical billing and collections
- Experience with Revenue cycle management/ Financial reporting.
Duties:
- Assist in hiring, firing, and training of new personnel
- Prepares documents needed by external parties (such as consultants or agents for financial or tax issues)
- Staff payroll and benefits
- Handles patient account processing, management and collections
- Responsible for ongoing maintenance, compliance with government incentive programs
- Maintains integrity of financial and clinical records
- Oversees the management of practice staff
- Oversees and manages the financial operations
- Overseeing an maintaining Coding, Billing and Collections processes
- Completes other HR duties including performance reviews
