Closet World is a complete home organizing service and the industry leading manufacturer of fine quality custom closets, garage systems, home offices, and organizing storage needs.
The Materials Director will be responsible for maintaining the flow of materials required for production and operational execution. Facilitates the executing of material receiving and staging as well as pick, pack, and delivery. Monitors and reports on inventory levels specific to inaccuracies, shortages, or surplus.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve and maintain procurement strategies in effort to balance quality, cost and supply.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers, facilitates execution of contracts, and manages disputes to ensure materials are delivered on time,
- Oversee the scheduling and logistics of incoming and outgoing materials to align with production schedules efficiently.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent excess or shortage of materials for production.
- Ensures internal documentation and system procedures are timely and accurately completed.
- Responds to internal turnaround time goals, customer expectations, and customer feedback.
Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience)
- 5+ years’ Purchasing/Inventory Control experience.
- Knowledge of sourcing and vendor management
- Experience in inventory control and replenishment required
- Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures
- Proven history of developing effective inventory management policies
- Strong planning and financial skills a must
- Experience with Mas 200 or Sage is strongly desired.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability work independently in a fast paced and rapid changing environment
