The Job
- Respond to customer (Major Accounts ) inquiries by providing information on pricing, styling, availability, options in a timely manner
- Assist with creating visual boards, proposals/estimates by reaching out to vendors, researching visual libraries and publications, pricing, researching online platforms
- Interact with clients on the phone and in person to discuss their needs and vision with regards to their events, designs, options
- Visit event spaces and venues to understand the necessary logistics for execution of successful events
- Assist production team by creating floral recipes, placing flower and hardgood orders, creating timelines, ensuring adequate staffing for sepcific events
- Follow up with past clients to solicit repeat business
- Research and share event trends (floral, décor, design, lighting) with team-member
- Maintan a visual board to sell customers and designers on the range of inventory items ( props, vases, decorative objects) available for impactful events
Qualities We Are Looking For
- Good written and verbal skills --MUST be able to write proposals and visual boards in impeccable English
- Customer service skills, "customer-comes-first" mentality
- Punctuality, timeliness and responsible follow up
- Mathematical skills needed to compute prices, markups
- Interest in the floral / events industry / catering / hotels / venues
- A good eye for design and style
- Attention to detail in all communications and documents
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects with various clients and vendors at the same time, with shifting priorities
- Ability to roll up sleeves and assist team members during "all hands on deck" situations
- Occasional weekends and late evenings hours ar enecessary
- Collaborative, outgoing team-oriented personality
Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or equivalent programs (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)- MUST HAVE
- Valid USA working permit - MUST HAVE
- Experience with Photoshop and InDesign a plus
- Experience with Social media platforms for business a strong plus
- Experience in special events, design, or event production a strong plus
- Spanish a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
