**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cabinet Painter/Finisher to join our workshop team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of aesthetics and durability, reflecting our commitment to excellence.
**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare cabinets and furniture for finishing by sanding, filling cracks, and ensuring surfaces are smooth and clean.
- Apply stains, paints, and other finishes to cabinetry according to specifications and design requirements.
- Use various techniques such as brushing, rolling, and spraying to achieve desired finishes.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Perform touch-ups and repairs on finished products as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper care of tools and equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a cabinet painter/finisher or similar role in woodworking or cabinetry.
- Expertise in mixing and applying stains, paints, clear finishes and conversion varnishes.
- Ability to interpret design plans and finish specifications accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Knowledge of different wood types and their reactions to various finishes.
- Familiarity with safety precautions and procedures when working with paints, stains, and finishing materials.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
