The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Float is responsible for the direct implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programming with clients at Westside Children’s Therapy, under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Providing predominantly play-based therapy, the RBT will support Westside clients in the development of a wide variety of skills. The RBT Float will support their assigned region with last-minute schedule changes that come in during the morning (staff outages, patient cancellations). The RBT Float will be responsible for communicating all scheduling changes as directed by the Clinic ABA Director and will be assigned direct sessions based on staffing needs and clinical expertise.
Essential Functions:

Provide supplemental and temporary support to ABA clinical teams within an assigned region

Process inbound messages for call-offs and cancellations for clinics in assigned region

Make schedule edits to the schedule according to each clinic’s guidelines

Collaborate with impacted staff members to make the schedule adjustments

Notify families of changes to their learner’s schedule or care team

Coordinate with Clinic ABA Directors to determine which site needs the most coverage support

Provide direct therapy coverage for clinics in region that need assistance from 9:00am - 4:00pm

Implement direct therapy services for assigned clients and caseload, following programming written by BCBA

Engage with BCBA during regular supervision sessions to ask questions and receive feedback

Collect and record data on patients’ behavior

Complete and submit required documentation (e.g., SOAP notes) in a timely manner, aligned with Westside's policies and procedures

Develop strong relationships with the children on assigned caseload and strive to make every session a fun experience

Participate in weekly team meetings with home clinic’s ABA team

Maintain targeted caseload of 30 therapy hours per week
Required Education, Experience and Credentials:

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Reliable transportation for travel between clinics

One year of experience as an RBT at Westside or two years of experience in a RBT or similar role elsewhere

Experience working with individuals with special needs

Active RBT certification required at time of hire
