POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The SCADA Inspector at KKCS will serve as a construction inspector on MTA Subway Rail projects, focusing on electrical and SCADA systems. This role requires monitoring contractor activities, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications, and maintaining detailed inspection logs. The SCADA Inspector is crucial for ensuring project safety and adherence to standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as a construction inspector on MTA Subway Rail projects under the general supervision of the resident engineer.

Track and inspect daily contractor activities, measuring completed work items, and recording them for daily progression in the field.

Determine when project materials and procedures do not comply with project plans or specifications.

Submit daily reports or inspection logs detailing all daily activities, labor, and equipment.

Inspect insulation and test various equipment on worksites for safety and compliance within project standards.

Coordinate with the contractor as necessary for construction operations.

Inspect electrical power distribution, tunnel ventilation, mechanical systems, traction power, train control, automatic train control, fire alarm systems, and associated instrumentation/control/SCADA related upgrades.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Required Experience & Education:

5+ years of experience inspecting electrical, tunnel ventilation, mechanical, traction power, train control, and automatic train control in subway rail project stations.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license.

Experience with Subway Rail Systems and knowledge of FTA and RTR standards.

Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in field inspection.

Possession of OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification, or the ability to obtain within 3 months.
Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree in construction, certification, or a technically related field.

Prior experience working on SCADA projects is a plus.
