Hennig, Inc., a leading machine tool protection manufacturer located in the Rockford, IL area, has an immediate opening for an Accounts Receivable Clerk.
The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for assisting with the handling of the financial transactions related to the Company's accounts payable processes including but not limited to:
- Invoicing
- Payment Processing and balancing customer deposits
- A/R Aging
- New Customer Set Up and Maintenance
- Record Keeping
- Credit Card Reconciliation
- Monte-End / Year-End
- Audit Support
- Back up Receptionist
- Other Duties as Assigned
To be successful in their role, the Accounts Receivable Clerk will be required to have the following skills and be able to perform the following tasks:
- Generate and send out invoices to customers while ensuring invoices are accurate and comply with company policies and contractual agreements
- Receive and process incoming payments
- Record payments accurately and apply them to the correct customer accounts and invoices receiving problems as they relate to incoming invoices.
- Ability to run and understand customer aging reports
- Set up and maintain customer files in company ERP system
- Maintain accurate records and reports of Accounts Receivable transactions
- Ability to effectively communicate with vendors and suppliers to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain records of accounts payable transactions
- Ability to support management with the month-end and year-end process
- Provide documentation as requested to support internal and external audits
- Ability to be trained as the backup receptionist and communicate effectively via telephone and face-to-face

- Familiar with basic accounting principles
Education and Experience
- Associate degree is preferred, but would accept High School Diploma with the right experience
