Adjunct Faculty, Lecturer of Occuptational Therapy
ABOUT THIS POSITION
Summary: Colorado Mesa University invites applications for the position(s) of Instructor for the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy Program. This is a part-time, as needed position with a start date of Tuesday May 28, 2024. Courses may be assigned as in-person, online, hybrid, or via distance delivery modalities.
Adjunct faculty at CMU are part-time employees who are hired on an as-needed basis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to:

Course delivery, preparing teaching materials, grading, and participate in the end-of-term evaluation of didactic and/or clinical curriculum.

Teaching may involve in person, online, hybrid and/or distance delivery modalities. Support is available for teaching technology.
Having a well-defined, ongoing area of expertise in clinical practice. Especially looking for expertise in areas such as physical rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, hand therapies and modalities.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program or entry-level Doctoral degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Must have had initial certification as an OTR/L through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Colorado.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous academic teaching experience.
- Clinical teaching in physical rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, older adult practice in an occupational therapy or related graduate program (i.e. FW II).

Evidence of scholarship (presentations, articles, posters, etc.).
- Active in community service and participation / leadership in local, regional, or national occupational therapy associations
- All candidates should possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and computer skills.

Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
Salary: $600.00 - 850.00 per credit hour. Adjunct faculty are paid on a per credit hour basis, commensurate with education and experience.
