Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Millwright to join our team. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining machinery and equipment at industrial plants as well as complete many different types of projects across all facets of the construction industry. Your mechanical knowledge and expertise will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.
Duties:
- Maintain, install, repair, assemble, and disassemble machinery and equipment according to blueprints, manuals, and engineering specifications
- Weld, solder, and fabricate parts as needed
- Diagnose machinery and equipment and make appropriate repairs
-Align shafts, couplings and machinery, and level and anchor various types of machinery and equipment
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and minimize downtime
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals to determine work procedures
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Operate various tools and equipment such as cutting torch, welder, hand tools, power tools, manlifts, etc.
-Use hoisting equipment such as rigging, chain falls, come-a-long, etc.
- Follow codes, standards, and regulations related to machinery installation and maintenance
-Assist in other construction facets our company performs
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Millwright or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficient in Arc, Tig and Mig welding processes
-Proficient in custom field and shop fabrication and installation
- Ability to perform math calculations accurately
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical manuals
- Knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations related to machinery installation (e.g., OSHA)
- Experience with stick welding is a plus
- Ability to rig heavy machinery safely
-Knowledge of use of PPE, LOTO, safe work ethics, and permits
-Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
-Ability to work in any condition (extreme heat, cold, tight areas, kneeling, at heights, etc.)
-Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team or by yourself
-Excellent communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
-Valid Driver's License
-Ability to pass a background check
-Ability to pass a drug test
