Overview
Perform or assist in managing all requests for VIP department
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the hotel's Executive Office, Sales, Meetings & Events, and Lotte Corporate Office to book VIP reservations
- Conduct pre-arrival calls and/or emails for VIPs to understand needs of guest
- Manage communication of VIP needs with key operational departments including Front Office, In Room Dining, Housekeeping and Engineering
- Assist in development of systems to create efficiencies throughout hotel in exceeding VIP expectations
- Assist in managing guest preferences with CRM platform
- Assist in development and execution of VIP recognition and amenity program
- Create daily VIP report with guest preferences, amenities, and service requests
- Assist in rate loading and maintain Corporate, Consortia and FIT Rates in Opera and Synxis
- Own top corporate account client requests to provide support and personalized service
- Maintain allotments for corporate accounts
- Route third party billing
- Create VIP experience for service recovery if necessary
- Maintain priority waitlist over sold out nights
- Focus on first time guests to build loyalty
- Meet, greet and welcome VIPs to the hotel
Qualifications
- High school diploma required, college degree preferred.
- One year experience in customer service in hospitality or similar industry.
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
- Basic mathematical skills and considerable skill in the use of a calculator to prepare moderately complex mathematical calculations without error.
- Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
- Ability to stand, walk and continuously perform behind the front desk. Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and prepare complex reports of room availability and revenues generated.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
