We are seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Assistant to join our outpatient pediatrics clinic. The Medical Assistant will work under the supervision of our physicians and provide essential support in delivering high-quality care to our pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and other patient information
- Administer vaccines and medications as directed by the physician
- Perform basic medical procedures such as urine catheterizations and nasal/throat swabs
- Schedule appointments, handle patient inquiries, and maintain medical records
- Assist with the coordination of referrals, prescriptions, and patient follow-up care
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical equipment
- Adhere to all medical and safety protocols and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program and certification preferred
- Previous experience working in a medical office, preferably in pediatrics
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures

Job Type: Full-time (36-40 hours/week)
Pay: $16-24 per hour, depending on experience

- 8:00am - 4pm, Friday
- Weekends only for flu-shot clinics in the fall

- clinical: 2-5 years (preferred)
- outpatient Epic experience (preferred)
