The Night Auditor is responsible for Front Desk procedures such as checking in and out guests, answering phones, and providing concierge services, all with genuine warmth and professionalism. The Night Auditor is also responsible for verifying that all Front Desk transactions are documented daily, as well as running several nightly reports, processing credit cards, and turning over the data in the property management system.
Essential Functions

- Greets and welcomes every guest upon arrival.
- Registers guest into the Hotel in a prompt and courteous manner using up-selling techniques to maximize room rates; prepares for group check-in and check-out, VIP arrivals.
- Balances and audits for accuracy of room revenue, food and beverage revenue, and telephone revenue; assists in the preparation of all reports relevant to daily revenues.
- Balances and audits for accuracy of all room and tax charges, cashier reports, and house accounts.
· Completes and transmits daily management, accounting reports, and supporting documents.
· Prepares customer tracking report, market segmentation report, and food and beverage revenue report necessary to ensure the accurate accounting of hotel revenues and expenses.
- Communicates with other hotel departments as necessary to resolve accounting discrepancies and to request or provide information.
- Communicates effectively and genuinely with guests, employees, and other departments.
- Maintains a friendly and caring demeanor at all times in a fast pace environment.
- Maintains a professional image at all times that falls within the hotel and company guidelines for appearance and dress.
- Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner; follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days vary based on business needs. This includes weekends, holidays, evenings, and/or overnight shifts.
Required Education and Experience
· A minimum of (2) year of experience in a Front Desk/Hotel environment.
· A minimum of (1) year of experience in customer service background.
· College degree in hospitality, business administration, or similar.
· Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgment to resolve issues.
· Flexible schedule. Able to work weekends and holidays.
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
