Job Summary:
Roots Food Group is seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join our team as the intake registered dietician.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting and signing comprehensive dietary assessments for patients who have been referred to Roots Food Group through the CalAIM Community Supports program.
In addition, the intake RD will be responsible for completing nutrition notes and nutritional consultations.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Generate Nutrition Notes: Conduct evaluations during phone consultations, gathering pertinent information through interviews, drafting RD recommendations for authorization for Medically Tailored Meals.
Conduct and Sign Dietary Assessments: Perform thorough evaluations via phone consultations, collecting relevant data through interviews, questionnaires, and dietary recalls to understand patients' current eating habits and nutritional intake.
Provide Nutritional Consultations: Analyze dietary data to evaluate the nutritional content of individuals' food choices and meal patterns, offering insights and recommendations for enhancement.
Maintain Precise Documentation: Record detailed dietary assessments, meal plans, progress notes, and other essential data, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and legal regulations.
Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, implementing ethical and promotional guidelines in interactions with healthcare professionals to uphold integrity and professionalism.
Requirements:

Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish)
Self-starter; able to work independently.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members effectively.
Empathy and Compassion: Ability to understand and empathize with patients' unique needs, challenges, and cultural backgrounds while providing non-judgmental support.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in life sciences, pharmacy, nursing, or a related field - Preferred • Previous experience in the healthcare industry

Ability to sustain prolonged sitting and extended computer use.
