Salary Range: Based on experience
As an Android/Linux Developer, you will have the opportunity to develop custom embedded Android and Linux-based applications in support of OxeFit’s advanced strength training system.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain high-quality, robust systems software using Android open-source and Linux-based systems to power OxeFit’s strength training platforms
- Write test cases for system software that might require mocked hardware or peripheral components for use in contemporary headless CI/CD environments
- Integrate Android and Linux-based platforms to achieve seamless functionality and interoperability
- Interface regularly with embedded/firmware engineers and cloud developers for cross-functional coordination
- Participate in code reviews to provide feedback and ensure adherence to coding standards and architectural guidelines
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fields
- Experience writing production level and reliable code targeting Android or Linux distributions in a professional capacity
- 5+ years of experience writing production-quality software in languages such as C, C++, etc
- Knowledge of Linux system programming, distributions, and system libraries
- Experience building processes and modifying user interfaces in Android core open-source (OS)
- Experience with Android custom update mechanisms for OS and applications
