First Shift Mundelein Location Available shift include 7:00am-4:30pm.
The role focuses on quality engineering day in the life projects and actions that involve work with drawings and the ability to read prints and define measurement methods as well as preparing PPAP documentation for customer submissions.
Willing to Train a Strong Quality Technician in the field with skills, accomplishments, and experience with Manufacturing Quality Assurance in Stamping/Machining/Fabrication/Progressive Die and Sheet Metal Industries
Qualifications of the Jr. Quality Engineer:

2-3 years of quality engineering experience preferred

4 year college degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred

Experience in metal stamping and fabrication or related experience in a Quality Environment

Quality Engineering experience in SPC, DOE, CAPA, LEAN, 5S's, Six Sigma

Experience with quality systems and controls.

Blueprint, drawing, and quality manufacturing tool experience and measure methods

Experience and Knowledge with preparing PPAP Documentation for Customer Submissions (Production Part Approval Process)
Responsibilities of the Jr. Quality Engineer:

Monitor production to ensure all documentation is complete.

Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality standards are met

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve product or production related issues.

Assist with developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.

Assist with implementing inspection procedures and plans

Monitor and analyze quality performance data and analytics
-
Able to direct communications relating to quality problems from customer, purchasing, engineering, quality, customer service and sales personnel.

Assisting Quality Manager’s in answering to the customer complaints

Able to review and initiate reports via UniPoint.
