This is a 1-year contract with the possibility of an extension of up to at least 3 years and the possibility of a career conversion.

The project will adapt and test a community-based music intervention for older adults age 60 and over with and without mild cognitive impairment. The project is in its third phase and will involve collaborations with community professionals to lead a randomized trial. The goal of the project is to examine the effects of a music improvisation intervention of cognition and well-being among older adults.
The Community-Based Research Project Manager will manage the testing of a music intervention to promote health among older adults with and without cognitive impairment. The intervention will be tested in San Francisco, CA .
Research program planning, management of project timelines, budget management, development, administration, management and implementation; interprets, monitors and analyzes information regarding procedures and provides consultative services to department administrators and other stakeholders. Initiates and monitors training and evaluation of key research staff. Maintains timely and responsive communications among project team. Supports development and maintenance of community partners.

They will help manage the delivery of the intervention at community sites and oversee the assessments by research staff.
