Magna Marine is looking for an EXPERIENCED Marine Service Technician, for a full service yacht repair company based out of Fort Lauderdale, to start immediately. Candidate must have extensive knowledge (5+ years) recent experience in marine electrical, AC & DC, valid driver's license, clean driving record and able to reliably commute to Fort Lauderdale daily. Candidate must also have USA citizenship and be fluent in English.

Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of recent experience working on Marine Electrical Systems. (Required)
· Must have valid driver's license, clean driving record and able to reliably commute to Fort Lauderdale daily. (Required)
· Troubleshooting skills and electrical certifications are a plus.
· Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
· Ability to follow established procedures, practices and read instruction, blueprints etc.
· Very good communication skills - enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects.
· Complete all work orders and timesheets in a legible, accurate and timely manner.
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
· Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.
· Adaptable/flexible - enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction.
· Very good physical strength and stamina.
· Willingness to travel.
· USA citizenship and be fluent in English. (Required)
Responsibilities
· Install/wire/troubleshoot/repair marine electrical systems, such as - electrical distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels, etc.)
· Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.
· Ensure compatibility of components.
· Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability.
· Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
· Keep daily project logs and photos of work; report on issues
Technicians meet at shop in Fort Lauderdale daily (Monday - Friday) at 8am to receive assignments, then are sent onsite to the vessels at different Marinas. We are in need of someone who is hard working, motivated, reliable, punctual, organized and capable of problem solving. Also someone who works well with others and can take direction.
