- Ensure a trauma informed focus on creating a safe and supportive environment for staff and those served through knowledge, sensitivity, respect, and a focus on resilience and recovery.

Ensure a safe and secure environment by working closely with staff and clients.

Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other people to maintain and ensure the safety and security of all people and premises.

Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.

Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property. Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates. Report daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

Escort or drive motor vehicles to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection.

Develop and implement solutions to prevent potential safety problems.

Respond to emergency situations.

Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons. Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.

Assist in scheduling and conducting safety, tornado, and fire drills. Ensure proper signage is posted in the building. Complete and submit monthly safety inspections.

Prepare and submit safety and security reporting. Assist with safety trainings.

Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Company’s Program Practice Guidelines.

To qualify for this job, you need to have:
-
High School Diploma or GED required and two years of additional training or related experience.

Work Experience - 2 or more years providing top-notch customer-focused security and safety measures.

21 years of age. Must pass a background check, fingerprinting, and physical and drug screening.

Maintain company-required training.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. The employee is subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally, inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change. (Physical working requirements)
