Chief of Staff
Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief of Staff to join our team. As the Chief of Staff, you will play a crucial role in supporting the executive team, driving business development initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence within the organization.

Immediate Supervisor: CEO
General Responsibilities:The Chief of Staff often serves as a close advisor to the CEO, providing strategic counsel, and helping to shape the organization's vision, goals, and priorities. As Chief of Staff, you will work with and report directly to the CEO. The Chief of Staff will play a key role in facilitating collaboration and alignment within the organization, working closely with department heads and senior leaders to implement strategic objectives.
Principal Duties
Within the guidelines of the CILCP policies and procedures the Chief of Staff will:
- Supervise daily operations and help oversee projects of high importance.
- Keep CEO abreast on current company climate (employee wellbeing, project statuses, new proposals, etc.)
- Build strong relationships with employees and oversee their progress, noting any issues or successes.
- Monitoring the progress of funding and documentation for active contracts to ensure compliance
- Assist CEO with internal communication, meeting with HR leaders and attending to staff needs, ensuring any problems are resolved.
- Ensure alignment with SPIL, Strategic plan, and Agency work plan
- Work with community leaders to increase opportunities for persons with disabilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in business management or 10+ years’ experience in a leadership/management role
2. Previous experience with Center for Independent Living’s and the Independent Living movement.
3. Must reside in service area
Required Skills and Abilities
- Must have an ability to travel, preferably with own transportation.
- Attending executive meetings and delivering progress reports to CEO.
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for productive collaboration across varying departments
- Must be able to effectively plan, coordinate and execute assignments.
- Help coordinate business-wide procedures and work to improve existing processes for maximum clarity, efficiency, and success
- Able to successfully organize, lead and direct large teams of people.
- Highly experienced with project coordinating and management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
