**Job Title:** Fire Sprinkler Inspector
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems in both commercial and residential buildings in accordance with NFPA 25 standards. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of fire protection systems and excellent problem-solving skills.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA 25 standards.
- Conduct visual inspections of sprinkler heads, valves, pipes, and fittings to ensure they are in proper working condition.
- Perform Fire Pump Churn Testing
- Test fire sprinkler systems to ensure functionality and compliance with code requirements, including 5-year FDNY testing & DOB Testing
- Document and report inspection findings, including any deficiencies or needed repairs.
- Collaborate with building owners, managers, and other stakeholders to schedule inspections and discuss inspection results.
- Ensure all inspection and testing activities are conducted safely and in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
- Keep accurate records of inspections, tests, and maintenance activities.
- Stay updated with changes in NFPA 25 standards and other relevant fire protection codes and regulations.
- Provide recommendations for system improvements and upgrades based on inspection findings.
- Respond to emergency service calls to address fire sprinkler system issues as needed.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in fire sprinkler inspection, testing, and maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of NFPA 25 standards and other relevant fire protection codes.
- Strong understanding of fire sprinkler system components and their operation.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple inspections simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
**Certifications (preferred):**
- NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) Level II or higher in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems.
- State-specific fire sprinkler inspection certifications.

**Working Conditions:**
- Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, including commercial and residential buildings.
- Frequent travel to various inspection sites is required.
- The position may require occasional after-hours or weekend work to accommodate client schedules or emergency situations.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
