The Android Developer will work with our team of talented engineers and architects to design and build the next generation of our Venue SDK-powered applications.
What Will You Be Doing?
Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
Design and build high-performance code
Building modules that can be reused
Documenting application design and building solid foundational prototypes for other developers to leverage
Ability to work with web services and integrate third-party SDK and dependencies
Manage offshore resources and direct offshore Android development
Code reviews for the work produced by the team
Ability to identify code bottlenecks, and memory leaks using tools and plug the holes
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Unit testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
Working on bug fixing and improving application performance
Publishing apps to Google store and managing builds
Ability to distribute application makes to QA team through Jenkins
Creating quick Proof of Concepts when working with 3rd party APIs
Use third-party APIs to integrate into our system
Leveraging the best of new technologies to continue to innovate the application
Knowledge of Agile practice
Skills, Knowledge, & Expertise Needed for the Job:
3-5+ years of experience in building Mobile Applications
Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android and how to deal with different screen sizes
Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns and best practices
Expertise in the following technologies:
Android
Kotlin
Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
Solid foundation and understanding of industry best practices in Application Design
Bachelor’s Degree and/or similar certification
Solid understanding and experience with Model View View-Model (MVVM) design pattern
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

The compensation for this role considers a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location at which the position may ultimately be filled. At Everi, it is not typical for all individuals to be hired at or near the end of the range; compensation decisions depend on each case’s facts and circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $98,600 - $ 115,000 annually.
