Our client is a trusted name among parents and families and is part of a network of schools throughout the East Coast, Tennessee, and Texas. Their classrooms are safe, nurturing environments for children six weeks to five years, offering age-appropriate opportunities to explore and discover. Highly trained teachers lead each child to reach developmental milestones, preparing the children for social and academic success.
Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Center Director to join the leadership team at their BRAND-NEW childcare center that is scheduled to open in Valhalla, NY in the fall of 2024. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), a genuine love for children, and a strong commitment to education.
This position is an immediate hire position, and the Center Director will be responsible for local area marketing and community outreach to build relationships with community members and prospective families prior to opening. In addition, training will be provided with the leadership team at their sister school located in Scarsdale, NY.
Salary and Benefits:
- $75,000 - $85,000/year pending education, certifications, and experience – in addition, there is a bonus incentive based on enrollment

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all operations of the school, specifically focusing on educational programming, special events and activities, managing budget/finances, relationship building, quality assurance related to health & safety, and faculty onboarding, training & development
- Use a growth mindset to train, coach, and develop the school for the future
- Develop strong relationships with our families
- Comply with state childcare licensing regulations
- Project a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to serve in various roles as needed
- Ability to maintain accurate and up to date records
Qualifications:
- A valid and verifiable NYS teaching certification required
- At least 5-years of continuous experience as a Director in a licensed childcare center or preschool with at least 100 enrolled students required
- Familiarity with and willingness to closely adhere to and enforce federal and state childcare licensing standards required
- Excellent organization and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
