Position Summary:
The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for the supervision of the daily operations and monitoring of system performance. The Senior Systems Administrator should have excellent troubleshooting abilities for network, hardware, and software. They must have the ability to administer and ensure the proper functionality of all software, hardware, server, and network.
This position reports to the Vice President of IT
Essential Duties
- Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems. In large companies, this requires understanding a global or multi-office network infrastructure.
- Helps develop, document, communicate, and enforce a network technology policy.
- Is responsible for the installation and configuration of new software and hardware, including the server network, devices and firewalls.
- Is responsible for monitoring system performance, IT system operations and storage utilization.
- Plans ahead for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth.
- Manages user accounts and assets, and assigns and updates security permissions on the network according to security policy.
- Provides support with escalated help desk requests.
- Leads other systems administrators, coordinates with different departments.
- Mentors team members and educates users.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Physical and Mental ability to sit for extended periods of time as necessary to complete job assignments and job duties.
- This position may occasionally be asked to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
- The ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Required to understand and communicate and follow directions both verbally and in written English
- The Senior System Administrator must think logically and reasonably.
- May need to perform PC Tech duties on as per need basis
WORK EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer technology, Computer Science, or a related field with a quantitative emphasis required.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) required.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in system administration, preferably in a senior or lead role.
- Strong expertise in administering and troubleshooting Windows and Linux server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with managing a Microsoft 365 environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- An understanding of the gaming industry is preferred.

- Must have a valid passport and be available to travel internationally.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
