ABOUT OUR CLIENT:
Our client is a fast-growing tech/hardware company in the Bay Area who is in search of a Senior Manager of FP&A on an Interim to Hire basis. The Senior Manager of FP&A will primarily support the G&A functions but will also support GTM, R&D, and other groups as needed.
The Senior Manager FP&A will be responsible for working with teams across the organization to track headcount and budgets, manage MBO and commission processes, and OPEX forecasting.
This role is a hybrid position and will require on site work three days per week in the San Francisco Bay Area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the creation and analysis of financial and business metrics, providing insights to senior management to enhance business performance and monitor growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with various departments to guide strategic planning and decision-making, including operational expense planning.
- Work with HR and department leaders to manage headcount planning, offering insights to support hiring decisions and their impact on EBITDA and cash flow.
- Oversee the commission and management by objectives (MBO) processes, including accruals, payment calculations, and communication with the sales team, ensuring alignment with incentive structures and accurate analysis of attainment metrics.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to inform strategic business decisions.
- Support the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, ensuring all departments and operations align with the financial plan.
- Analyze variances between actual results and forecasts to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Coordinate with data providers to gather, organize, and analyze company information, summarizing key insights for senior management.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of new financial processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-10 years of experience in FP&A, preferably within a manufacturing company.
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting or Economics related field required.
- Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and Adaptive Planning is nice to have.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating financial concepts across various functions and levels.
- In-depth understanding of the hardware business model and key profitability drivers.
- Advanced quantitative and analytical skills.
