This position is located in Columbia, South Carolina, United States of America. Relocation Assistance provided.

H1B or Green Card Visa Sponsorship is included as part of this position. Up to $8,000 USD signing bonus for a 3 year commitment.

To be considered you’ll need:

Successfully passed NCLEX exam
A registered nurse (RN) license in the United States or Canada
Graduation from a basic educational program in professional nursing.
A minimum of one (1) year medical/surgical nursing experience in an acute care (hospital) setting.
Critical Care, Intensive Care experience is preferred.
Progressive Care experience is ok if meets other requirements
Experienced and comfortable working with ventilators and patients with tracheostomy
Advanced critical thinking skills and the ability to recognize when a patient status changes and/or deteriorates

Unit: Critical Access/Emergency

Position Type: Critical Care/Emergency Registered Nurse

Schedule: 12 hour shifts, rotating shifts, holidays and week-ends as scheduled.

Patient Population: Adult, geriatric, and pediatric

Salary Range: $30-$42 USD per hour

Shift differentials are:

Evenings are $2.00 per hour

Nights are $3.00 per hour

Weekends are $5.00 per hour (Sat/Sun)

Bridging the gap between hospital and home.

As a separate, fully licensed, and staffed hospital, ContinueCARE (LTACH) provides a continuum of care between the acute and long term phases of a patient’s illness.

Patients, who are otherwise unstable for discharge after an acute care hospitalization, can be transferred to a long term acute care hospital (LTACH) to receive continued nursing care. This continuation of care serves the needs of patients with medically complex conditions, especially those suffering from multi-system complications and needing extended recovery times.

Our Ideal Candidate will:

Provide care for the Adult or Geriatric patient, ages 18 years and over.
Assess a patient's condition, learning needs and family dynamics based on systematic data collection utilizing assessment skills and tools appropriate to the respective practice area.
Develop a comprehensive plan of care and discharge plan based on the nursing assessment and integration of the medical plan utilizing the patient's family and other health care team members.
Make patient rounds to assess physical and emotional status and to initiate any nursing interventions.
Responsible for the overall direction and supervision of all patient care during his/her shift.
Demonstrate the knowledge and skill to carry out the nursing process when providing care to patients.
Assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, toileting and respond to call lights.
Documents delivery of health care and nursing process in accordance with specific unit standards and hospital nursing policy.
Obtains report from Nurse being relieved from duty and provides report to Nurse coming on duty; keeps the clinical team and others, as appropriate, informed about the status of patients and related matters; performs or supervises complete, timely and accurate documentation of patient care.
Evaluate outcomes of patient care planning and teaching and collaborate with other health care team members to revise the plan according to the changing needs of the patient.
Communicate effectively and appropriately to patient, family and other health care providers
Monitor and follow all procedures regarding patient telemetry; notifies Charge Nurse of all telemetry alarms, documents alarms, gives shift reports and reports any malfunctions or equipment failure.
Know the rationale for the effect of medications and treatments and correctly administer the same.
Perform the administration and documentation of medications, internal nutrition and treatments per the physician’s order and accurately records all care provided.
Understand and follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
Participate in hospital-wide patient safety programs identifying risks to patient safety and reducing healthcare errors.

Salary Range: USD 30-42$/hr and 59,000$ to 80,800$ a year (plus 3$/hr night differential if nightshift)
