Job Title: Account Manager
Area of Interest: Plumbing, HVAC, Fire and Water Works, Irrigation
Location: Birmingham/Central Alabama Area
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual for our Alabama outside sales team
,specializing in pumping systems. This Specialist should be technically proficient,
a good problem solver, and enjoy a fast-paced, fun, growing work environment.
Must be technically proficient in pump systems and be responsible for all sales
activities in assigned accounts and/or regions, generating revenue by developing
market potential through forecasting, lead generation, qualification, closing sales,
recommendation of product, and market activity reporting. Must live in
Birmingham or central Alabama.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Travel throughout territory to call on regular and perspective customers to solicit orders, drive pump sales and provide assistance.

Providing technical assistance and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.

Calls on Contractors, Distributors and Engineers on all pump products within territory.

Serve as a knowledgeable research partner and provide expertise to perspective and existing customers.

Display or demonstrate product, using samples or catalogs, and emphasize saleable features.

Identify and resolve client concerns.

Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.

Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets.

Participate in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows.

Coordinate and communicate effectively with Customer Service Department.

Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into CRM database.

Mechanical aptitude background
-
Knowledge of pumps and pumping systems, both mechanical and in their applications
-
Knowledge of HVAC Chilled Water systems
-
Knowledge of HVAC Boiler systems

Ability to call on and present to Engineers, Contractors, and Owners

Must be professional with a positive attitude and have the ability to learn product knowledge

Basic computer, good organizational, interpersonal, and customer relations skills are required

Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks and handling frequent interruptions
- Must take and pass drug test and consent to a background check
Education and Experience:
Must have 3 to 5 years’ outside sales experience in the plumbing/mechanical industry.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficient in the use of technology (computer/ tablet). Familiar with mobile applications.
