Position Summary:
The Salad Bar - Produce Clerk cuts fruit and vegetables to be sold to customers. When on the shopping floor, he/she will greet customers in a polite and friendly fashion, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee and maintain fullness of the salad bar,
· Ensure that the salad bar items (cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and other garnishments) are fresh,
· Initiate interaction with customers by asking questions regarding their shopping needs and providing recommendations,
· Ensure customer satisfaction by following through on customer requests,
· Utilize proper food handling and preparation techniques,
· Ensure produce meets quality and freshness standards,
· Build positive relationships with our customers,
· Ensure produce is up to Eddie’s standard of readiness upon store opening; this includes cleanliness, freshness, and variety of all products,
· Maintain fullness and freshness of the salad bar,
· Clean, chop, and/or wrap produce items prior to filling cases and dry tables,
· Manage product presentation by filling and rotating produce cases as necessary,
· Handle customer inquiries in a polit and receptive manner,
· Break down pallets, separate produce for sales floor, cooler and/or back-room prep area,
· Verify ads, hang current sale signs, and remove out-of-date sale signs,
· Perform routine price changes on products,
· Work with the management team to help meet sales goals, promote upcoming events and holidays,
· Dynamically sell product by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions,
· Assist with store maintenance and product merchandising, and
· Perform additional duties as assigned.

Schedule:
This position's schedule will be Mondays & Thursdays from 2 pm - 8 pm (close) and Saturdays & Sundays. One can expect to receive 20 - 30 hours per week.
Qualifications:
· Education, Certifications and/or Licenses:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Experience:
· Prior fresh food handling experience preferred but not required.
· Knowledge/Skills:
· Prior commercial kitchen knife handling skills are desired,
· Knowledge of retail sales and safe food handling guidelines,
· Ability to create positive customer relationships,
· Dependable, reliable, and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays,
· Results-oriented professional with excellent customer service skills,
· Excellent verbal/written communication skills,
· Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines,
